This tourmaline specimen is a cluster of double terminated crystals. There is a double terminated quartz perched atop one of the tourmaline terminations. Flat terminations on the top and pointed terminations on the bottom of this tourmaline. The tourmaline weighs 35.72 grams and measures 20cm x 17cm x 10cm. Mined in northern Afghanistan, in area that was once part of the Persian empire. Persian descendants live and mine tourmaline in this area to this day. The tourmaline mine has just recently as in the past few years been producing quality tourmaline.
